Philip is one of the co-founders of OneWater and an investor since 2011. He has focused on Energy and Infrastructure for 40 years with a particular interest in taking clean-energy companies through the commercialisation and international expansion of their technologies.

His experience includes organisational change and governance, complex project management and funding for sustainable energy, renewables, waste management and urban infrastructure. Philip has advised several governments on sustainability and energy security. He has been on the boards (and governance committees) of both private and publicly-listed energy and infrastructure companies operating across five continents and is a non-executive chairman of UK listed IGas Energy Plc. Other than Algaewheel, he is also closely involved in a non-executive capacity with Arctic Green, the world’s leading geothermal district heating company.
Philip was at JPMorgan for 24 years where he headed its Energy and Infrastructure businesses in Asia and set up its US$900 million Asian Infrastructure fund in 2008 (which invested extensively in water, wind and waste management). Whilst at JPMorgan, he also created one of the Group’s 700-person global research teams. Until 2020, Philip was a partner of Kerogen Capital, a leading US$2 billion energy private equity fund.

Simon has been the CEO of OneWater since the group was founded and acquired the Algaewheel® technology in 2011. He has led the R & D, governmental accreditation, development and value engineering aspects of the technology, supervised the construction of a project pipeline of some US$500m and the group’s orderly international expansion beyond the US, into Mexico, Egypt, Spain, France, the Middle East and SE Asia.

Following a 15 year career in the aerospace industry, Simon has had a successful track-record of nurturing early stage technology-based companies through IP generation and protection to full scale commercialisation. From 1997 to 2006, he was co-founder and CEO of a medical diagnostics company using artificial intelligence for early disease detection and later of Accsys Technologies plc., a London Stock Exchange AIM-listed environmental science and technology company. In 2006, he joined Sindicatum Carbon Capital, a leading developer of carbon abatement and renewable energy projects as a founding partner and CEO for Asia, the company’s largest market. With some 150 staff, Simon led a dynamic team that identified and developed a number of patented technologies successfully to deliver Sindicatum’s commercial goals throughout the region before founding OneWater in 2011.

Huon joined the board as a founding member in 2011 and since that time has helped develop and implement its market strategy in markets worldwide.
Huon has provided strategic and organisational advice for both Thames Water and North-West Water during and after privatisation in the early 1990s as a management consultant in Accenture’s Strategy division.

In addition, he has advised various oil companies on organisational and strategy issues around the world, culminating with management responsibility for handling Accenture’s BP account in Asia. In 2006, he left Accenture to join Sindicatum Carbon Capital as EVP China, before co-founding OneWater.

Paul has been an investor in OneWater since 2013. Paul’s entire professional career has been involved in the provision of Energy and Infrastructure services worldwide. Having grown up in Africa, he originally worked with UNICEF before seeing the value of private capital in providing solutions to basic energy needs and pursuing a career in corporate finance.

He has been the CEO of listed UK and US energy businesses and was formerly both the chairman and major investor in Flo-trend, which provides pollution remediation and water treatment services to the oil and gas industry.
Paul has extensive experience in linking providers of capital to challenging energy requirements in both developing and developed markets, often in water-stressed or environmentally sensitive parts of the world. He is a director of Ultraclean, a company focused on desulphurisation of various fuels. Paul has lived in Bahrain for the last 20 years and is intimately familiar with the MENA region.

Daniel is the chief technology officer at OneWater and has been with the company since January of 2012. Prior to joining Onewater he was an Instructor of Biological Sciences and Eastern Illinois University and served in the US Department of State as the Vice Consul for Economic Affaires in Monterey, Mexico. Daniel holds a BA and an MS from Eastern Illinois University and a PhD from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.

Michael has recently been appointed Group CFO and is leading OneWater’s initiatives to broaden the accounting, control and reporting systems in anticipation of its international expansion. Michael has been involved in the water sector since 1988 when, with Philip Jackson, he advised on the water sector privatisation in the UK. He qualified as a chartered accountant in 1986. Now based in Singapore, he is a Finance executive with some 40 years’ experience, including as head of corporate finance for South and South-East Asia at JPMorgan.

From 2007 until its disposal in 2021, Michael was CFO for Rubicon, a private equity backed energy services business with vessels and operations in Asia, West Africa and the Gulf of Mexico.

Mark joined OneWater in 2015 as Head of Business Development where he has been responsible for developing the group’s business pipeline, working closely with the established US Rep network and consulting engineers to the water industry.

Mark is a certified product manager who was formerly National Water Product Manager, as well as VP/GM for Oldcastle Precast, the US division of the world’s largest building materials company CRH. As Product Manager, Mark was responsible for the full product lifecycle, from concept and market validation, through planning, development, production

Leandro is an experienced executive in the wastewater treatment industry as a CEO with over 20 years of multi-industry experience across Latin America, the US, and Europe. He has managed an operation involving 600+ wastewater treatment plants in BOOT format dispersed across over 300 municipalities while developing the customer service culture that achieved the 2015 Best Supplier Award from Walmart.

Milo leads OneWater’s to identify and structure ways in which, where needed, it can help customers find financing to allow projects to proceed. The Sustainability Finance Group looks to assemble multiple-project packages in a way that is suitable both to passive financial partners, corporates and local providers of capital to invest in ways that minimise currency risk over the long-term. Milo is based in Barcelona. He has extensive experience of investing in water and other clean-energy and waste management investments.

He previously worked in JP Morgan’s Energy and Infrastructure funds in Asia, as well as in municipal bond finance in the US. Until recently he led the team within Keppel Infrastructure investing and joint venturing with operating and other financial partners.

Andy joined OneWater in 2013. He is responsible for ensuring that the design of any project and its subsequent installation are fit-for-purpose, the components correctly manufactured and for the quality control of the installation process. He is an environmental engineer with 17 years of experience in project and operational management in the waste and renewable energy sectors worldwide.

Andy spent seven years with CPL Energy/Novera Energy, two years with international consulting firm Wardell Armstrong and three years as Compliance Manager for the ENER×G Group based in the UK. Prior to joining OneWater, Andy was SVP – Delivery & Operations, for Sindicatum Sustainable Resources based in Beijing, responsible for its waste to energy initiative in China.

Ernesto joined OneWater Mexico in 2018, and is in charge of mechanical and electrical design, project execution and on-site supervision for equipment installation in Mexico. He has also been involved in the group’s initiatives in Spain and Egypt. Ernesto has ten years of experience in wastewater treatment, mechanical design, construction, maintenance and operations.

Prior to joining OneWater, Ernesto was Operations Manager for Sytesa, managing installation and operations for more than 600 plants in Mexico.

Jack Cai has been with the Company since 2012 and has been responsible for all aspects of the manufacturing process. Prior to joining OneWater, he worked for KEMCO which has extensive operations in plastic moulding of pipe fittings and auto-welding of HDPE gas and water pipes.

GEORGE CURRIE
George Currie
George has had an illustrious career in construction, management and investment in infrastructure, with a particular focus on water. He has been involved in every aspect from project design to contract negotiation, financing, development and operations. This has included a significant period at Biwater, one of the leading international EPC contractors in water operating throughout Europe, the Middle East, the US and Asia.

He qualified as a civil engineer and subsequently graduated into specialist management consulting at EC Harris and later Black & Veatch before joining I-Squared Capital in 2014 to lead its Asian asset management team.

Prominent Singapore businessman for more than 30 years. Owner and CEO of a group of companies deeply involved in the offshore oil and gas industry, with a particular emphasis on marine vessel ownership, charter and support services. In addition, the group owns ship building and shipyard services in China, as well property and other private equity investments.

Winston is a prominent Hong Kong entrepreneur with interests ranging from real estate, information technology and Asia’s largest supplier of cut flowers. (Hong Kong). With experience gained in law, investment banking and private equity, Winston Leong has over the years acquired stakes in a range of primarily Asia-based private businesses. He is currently a director and shareholder of various private companies with operations in Canada, Greater China, Indonesia, Japan, Singapore and Vietnam.

Winston’s community service in the past has included directorship of Ocean Park Corporation, membership of the advisory council of the Hong Kong University of Science & Technology and chairmanship of the Hong Kong Public Key Infrastructure Forum.

Edmond has an engaged dialogue with the Board on OneWater’s corporate development and market context for disruptive water technologies. He has a broad knowledge of utilities operating throughout Australasia. Edmond is a founder and executive director of a Hong Kong-based asset management company, with 20 years of previous experience in equity research and private and public equity investment.

Edmond was at J.P. Morgan Securities (HK) Limited as an equities research analyst from 1998-2010 and was responsible for J.P. Morgan’s power, gas and water utilities research in the Asia ex-Japan region, managing a team of around ten publishing analysts. He and the team were top rated by numerous external surveys, such as the Institutional Investors Survey, Asiamoney and the Extel Survey.
Advisory Board members currently hold 36% of the issued shares of OneWater.
